This is one of my favourite antiques in my collection. It is a Victorian Water Tankard. It sits on a stand and swings in its cradle so that the lady of the house can pour the liquid into the goblet resting on the cup stand. These are difficult to find with the matching goblet. In fact I found this in pieces in an antique store in Massachusetts. It was in the back room, buried in a pile of junk. My husband assured me he could repair it so I bought it at an incredible bargain price! It adds to my collection of 13 Victorian Silver or Silver-plated tankards or coffee pots.
